Important Information and Booking Conditions

Before you book your holiday, please read all of the information in this leaflet. This and other information in our brochure forms the contract between you and us.

HOTEL GRADINGS

Our staff often travel abroad and know the hotels selected for this website. We therefore provide personal views on accommodation and use gradings as follows:
Standard, Medium, Superior and Deluxe Class. However, hotel standards can vary between hotels of the same class in different countries, and even in the same country. In most cases hotels featured are at least four star and above although we do also feature some hotels which are ideal for those people who are on a tighter budget. Please be aware that our hotel gradings do not reflect official gradings given by tourist associations or similar bodies.

HOTEL ROOMS/ROOM CONFIGURATION

All of the hotels featured in our brochure are based on standard rooms on a room only basis unless otherwise stated. On a general note all of our featured hotels have ensuite bathroom and air conditioning. Most have satellite TV and access to the internet etc. Please notify us if you have any essential requirements so that we can check the facilities at your chosen hotel.
Generally hotels rooms consist of either one double bed or two single beds but can vary from hotel to hotel.Triple rooms usually consist of a rollaway bed which is placed in a twin or double room. As conditions may be cramped you may wish to consider booking two rooms. Some hotels do cater for families and can accommodate families in family size rooms. Please ensure that if you require a particular room or bed configuration that you request these at the time of booking.
Check in time will vary between midday and 3pm. Check-out time will vary between 10am and midday. Late check-out or early check-in is subject to availability and there is usually a surcharge. During quieter months some hotels will allow you to check in earlier if the room is ready and may allow a later check out time if the room is not required by another guest on that day. Please inform us at time of booking if you would like to book either an early check in or late check out.

SPECIAL REQUESTS

If you have a special requirement such as room type, location of room, diet, etc and it is an important factor in the choice of your holiday, this should be detailed to us in writing at the time of making your booking. However, please note that although we will take steps to ensure that your requests are met we can not be held responsible if such services are not provided as requested.

CHILDREN & INFANT ARRANGEMENTS

As a general policy a child under 12 years old at the time of travel will qualify for an airfare discount. Further discounts may apply if the child is sharing a room with two adults. However, the exact amount will vary depending on airline/hotel/season. In some cases, the discount may appear less than generous (usually peak periods) whilst at other times it is more favourable. When two rooms are required we can request that these rooms are adjoining or interconnecting. However availability will be the sole responsibility of the hotel and cannot usually be confirmed in advance. Please bear this in mind if you have chosen to travel to a popular family destination at a peak period and to a hotel with a limited number of rooms. At some hotels special meal rates may apply. Please ask for details if this is of particular interest to you. Infant prices do not allow for the provision of an aircraft seat or any meals at hotels. A Sky cot for the flight can be requested but early booking is essential. Hotel Baby cots can also be requested at the time of booking.

HOLIDAY DESTINATIONS

All of the resorts and destinations shown in our brochure can be offered on a year round basis although prices are based on low season. You will note that some of the lower prices and extra value offers apply to the quieter low season months when the climate may not be so consistent. During these months hotels may decide to reduce facilities in line with anticipated occupancy (e.g. closure of a restaurant or repainting of a pool etc). Equally in the busier months you should expect a livelier atmosphere with more demands placed on the facilities and the attentions of the staff. This can be particular evident during local school holidays, even when staying at a hotel that is usually very quiet.

BUILDING & DEVELOPMENT WORK

Unlike Europe, many of the areas featured by the Malaysia Experience do not have stringent laws on building works. Whilst many hoteliers would act responsibly on this and inform us of such works, the same would probably not apply to a private residence set aside a hotel. Unfortunately we have no control over such circumstances. You should expect to see a high level of building work in the major cities of the Far East and Dubai where a substantial building programme is in progress. Many cities, resorts and hotels are continuing to develop. If we receive prior advice we will endeavour to inform you of any work that we consider may affect your holiday. However it may be difficult to foresee the extent this activity will have at any particular time.

WEATHER

World weather is becoming more erratic and unpredictable and we can not be held responsible for any disruption caused to your holiday because of bad weather conditions.
