


HOW TO GET TO PANGKOR LAUT
The island can
be reached by a 3-4 hour road transfer from Kuala Lumpur or
Penang to Lumut jetty. Alternatively it is a one hour drive
from Ipoh, followed by a 45 minute ferry ride (exclusive to
Pangkor Laut guests).You can also fly from Kuala Lumpur to
Pangkor Island which is just a 40 minute boat ride from Pangkor
Laut (See page 17 for details on Pangkor Island flight). If
you take this option you will be met on arrival at Pangkor
Island Airport by a Pangkor Laut representative and transferred
by taxi to a private jetty where you will take the short boat
trip across to the island. |

Pangkor Laut is the only resort on this beautiful island and has been voted number one in the world and
best overseas destination spa. Accommodation, in the form of superbly appointed villas, are uniquely
designed and some are constructed on stilts which gives the resort the look of a typical Malay village.
The 126 villas which are positioned throughout the resort are traditionally furnished with timbers,
bamboo ceilings and traditional fabric. All villas are air conditioned with en suite bathroom with large
bath in a private courtyard, or have huge windows with wonderful views. Rooms are also equipped with
in room safe, fridge, CD/tape player, tea and coffee making facilities. There is no TV. Hill Villas are in an
elevated position amidst the hilly rain forest with superb views, whilst Garden Villas are set amongst the
tropical gardens and are closer to the resort facilities. Beach Villas are a few steps from the beach and the
Sea Villas are set on stilts over the water. Resort facilities include a choice of restaurants and bars, library,
two swimming pools, tennis and squash courts, gym, sauna, non motorised watersports, jungle trekking,
gift shop and occasional evening entertainment. Arrangements can be made for golf on the mainland.

SPA VILLAGE & SPA VILLAS
The Spa Village is located on an adjacent
bay to the main resort and offers traditional massage and bath therapies
of Asia which are all practiced in private pavilions, healing huts
and treatment rooms. Ancient healing arts are fundamental to all
treatments in the village, and are intended to soothe and refresh,
generating an overall sense of well being. The village has 22 exclusive
guest spa villas built on stilts over the sea. Guests visiting the
Spa Village for treatments enjoy a full range of amenities and can
make full use of the spa village facilities including relaxation
