Kuala Lumpur to Penang or Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Lumpur The beautiful, mist covered hills and valleys of The Cameron Highlands were made famous by the Scottish Planter families who formed the backbone of the tea industry in the early days. Much of their history remains, particularly in the style of the mansion houses and hotels. Your tour is on a private basis allowing you greater freedom and you can stay at a choice of Superior and Deluxe hotels.

Day 1 Kuala Lumpur - Cameron Highlands Depart Kuala Lumpur city in the morning and commence your four and a half hour drive north to the Cameron Highlands. Pass small agricultural villages and stop at a bamboo basket weaving workshop and Iskandar waterfall. Meet aborigines armed with blowpipes which are their traditional hunting weapon before arriving at your hotel late afternoon. A lunch stop will be provided at your own expense. The rest of the day and evening is at leisure. Overnight at your chosen hotel.

Day 2 Cameron Highlands After breakfast visit the morning market, vegetable farms, rose garden, Cactus Valley and the tea factory (closed Mondays and during Diwali Festival). Later in the afternoon your guide will conduct a nature walk tour. Overnight at your chosen hotel.

Day 3 Cameron Highlands - Penang After breakfast continue the five hour journey north to lpoh, the centre of the tin mining industry in Malaysia. Drive over the 10 mile Butterworth Bridge linking the Peninsular to the Island of Penang. Arrive late afternoon at your chosen hotel.

There are 56 rooms including suites and four poster beds. Resort facilities and services include nature trails, fitness centre, spa treatments, tennis and golf, at an extra charge. In the evening sip a cocktail in the Highlands bar and enjoy the panoramic views.
