WHAT TO DO IN KUANTAN & CHERATING

Besides watersports, swimming and diving which is excellent, visit local fishing villages or the modern town of Kuantan with its popular river esplanade and shops. Visit the nearby turtle sanctuary where Leatherbacks lay their eggs from May to Sept. Further up the coast explore beautiful beaches. Inland visit the National Park or take a boat trip on Lake Chini and tour the traditional village of Orang Asli. You may prefer car hire to assist your enjoyment, enabling you to sample the easy pleasures of the East coast.
