Orang Utans Turtles And Rainforest Tour

Kuala Lumpur - Kota Kinabalu (Borneo) - Langkawi

Day 1 Depart UK

Day 2 Arrive Kuala Lumpur. 3 nights at Shangri-la Hotel on bed and breakfast basis.

Day 3 Half day city tour.

Day 4 Day free for shopping or exploring the city.

Day 5 Depart for Kota Kinabalu. Overnight at Shangri- La Rasa Ria Hotel on bed and breakfast basis.

Day 6 Depart from the hotel and travel to Kinabalu Park for a guided nature trail and walk to the Mountain Garden. Lunch, dinner and overnight stay at the Mountain Lodge.

Day 7 Depart for Poring Hot Springs for a canopy walk in the rain forest. A picnic lunch is served at Poring followed by a guided nature trail. Return to Mountain Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8 Travel overland to Sukau to visit the Gomantong Caves, before taking a boat trip on the Kinabatangan River to view proboscis monkeys, birds and other wildlife. Dinner and overnight stay is at the Sukau River Lodge (simple accommodation).

Day 9 Enjoy a trip up the river to Ox-Bow Lakes to view the numerous species of wildlife. After lunch take a boat trip for more wildlife viewing along the Menanggul and Kinabatangan Rivers. Dinner and overnight in a Lodge.

Day 10 Today includes a boat ride to Libaran Island where you do a mangrove cruise and enjoy the wildlife in the mangrove forest. Dinner and overnight stay is at the Lodge (simple accommodation).

Day 11 After breakfast take a village walk and observe local tribes and their life style in this rural community. Afterwards swimming or snorkelling can be enjoyed at a nearby island before travelling to Turtle Island by speed boat for your overnight stay in a chalet with simple accommodation. The afternoon is free to swim, relax or snorkel. After dinner see the turtles laying their eggs, and the release of baby turtles into the sea.

Day 12 Visit the Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary where these beautiful animals are rehabilitated. Then depart on a city tour of Sandakan before flying back to Kota Kinabalu. Overnight at Shangri-La Tanjung Rhu Hotel on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 13 Flight to Langkawi. 3 nights accommodation at Pelangi Beach & Spa Resort on bed and breakfast basis. Days 14 - 15 Time to relax, shop or take an excursion.

Day 16 Depart for your flight to Kuala Lumpur and the connecting flight to the U.K
