Sabah Borneo, Malaysia
Often called the 'Land Below the Wind' because it lies beneath the typhoon belt. Sabah occupies the eastern part of North Borneo and is East Malaysia's second largest state with an area of 74,500 sq. km. It has the South China Sea on the west and the Sulu and Celebes seas on the east with a coastline of some 1,440km's. Sabah is mountainous with lush tropical rainforests with a population of nearly two million. The states capital is Kota Kinabalu, a young city and perfect gateway to pristine beaches and diving spots as well as a multitude of wildlife like the Oran Utan, Proboscis Monkey and the Turtles
