Day 1 Kota Kinabalu / Kinabalu Park Depart from your hotel and travel to Kinabalu Park for a guided nature trail and walk to the Mountain Garden. Lunch is served at the park and dinner and overnight stay is at Wildlife Mountain Lodge.
Day 2 Poring Hot Springs / Kinabalu Park Depart for Poring Hot Springs for your Canopy Walk in the rainforest. A picnic lunch is served at Poring, followed by a guided nature trail. Return to Mountain Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 3 Wildlife Mountain Lodge Travel overland to Sukau to visit the Gomantong Caves, home to a million bats and where bird's nests are harvested. Take a boat trip on the Kinabatangan River to view proboscis monkeys, birds and other wildlife. Dinner and overnight stay is at the Sukau River Lodge (basic accom).
Day 4 Kinabatangan River Take another boat trip up the river to Ox-Bow Lakes to view the numerous species of wildlife. Return to the lodge for lunch and then take a boat trip for more wildlife viewing along the Menanggul and Kinabatangan River. Dinner and overnight stay is at the lodge.
Day 5 Libaran Travel to Sandakan and transfer to Padas Jetty for your boat ride to Libaran Island, where you will do a mangrove cruise and can enjoy the wildlife in the mangrove forest. Dinner and overnight stay is at the Lodge (basic accom) Weather permitting you can go night fishing or crabbing around the island.
Day 6 Selingan Turtle Island After Breakfast, take a village walk, observing the local tribes and their lifestyle in this rural community. Afterward swimming or snorkelling can be enjoyed at a nearby island. Travel to Turtle Island by speed boat for your overnight stay in a chalet with basic facilities. The afternoon is at leisure for more swimming, snorkelling or relaxing. After dinner see turtles laying their eggs, and transferred to the hatchery and release of baby turtles into the sea. Overnight at Island (basic accom).
Day 7 Sepilok Orang Utan Centre / Kota Kinabalu Visit the Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary to witness the feeding and rehabilitation programmes of the Orang Utans followed by a city tour of Sandakan before your flight back to Kota Kinabalu. Arrive at 6pm.
